Hilda Soto was born in Anahuac Nuevo Leon Mexico, on September 17, 1957. Hilda is the fourth of eight children, seven boys and her. Sadly, four of her siblings have passed away already, the youngest at 47 and the oldest at 72. Her mom passed away in 2016 after a long battle with Alzheimer’s and a short battle with cancer.

In 1965, her family moved to Laredo, Texas. Following the citizenship rules at the time, she automatically became a U.S. citizen along with three of her brothers since her father was an American citizen.
